Forest Watcher

2020, 42”L x 53”W, hand-dyed cotton fabric, machine-quilted, hand-embellished.

This is the companion to “Sky Watcher.” I love faces. Sometimes the face alone is enough.

The work is a whole cloth quilt. It is one piece of white fabric painted with dye. It was then machine quilted in big gestural stitches on my “long arm” sewing machine. The seed beads are sewn in, emphasizing the cheekbones.
